Obsession with celebrity

Seriously it amazed me how people can be super obsess with celebrities. Seriously, especially local ones. I truthfully have nothing against Malaysian celebrity, i'm neither against or for them. But i dont understand people who are constantly in the know about this people and not only that they actually know almost everything about this people. It just amazes me. Face lit up when ure talking about some artist and its like they are ure BFF or some family members.
