"Babes, would you live with your boyfriend?"
My best friend asked me that question this morning. Without much thinking i said "No". Its just not about religion, its also about culture and peoples perception. Knowing full well that it is against the teaching of Islam and to do that openly would not be something that i would consider here. Yes i have to admit i was staying with an ex boyfriend when we were studying but that is simply by default and there was another housemate in the apartment. Its not something that i am proud of and something i would tell my aunties and uncle but when you are overseas and studying, its different. I know all of us are not perfect muslims, we dont pray 5 times a day, some of us drink and we dont wear the hijab but to live together? i think thats pushing it a bit to much.
Its not just about religion, i also argued that i am a very clingy girlfriend and without any ties its kinda hard. :D
